Offline Reminder is engineered by Eklanth Solutions LLP under a strict local-first architecture. We do NOT maintain user accounts, do NOT operate tracking databases, and do NOT harvest personal information. Every task, voice prompt, routine, and alarm schedule is stored and processed 100% locally on your device.
01 Information Collection & Use
Offline Reminder operates without collecting, selling, or transmitting personally identifiable information (PII):
- Reminders & Checklists: All task titles, notes, categories, priorities, and recurrence rules are persisted exclusively in a sandboxed SQLite Room database on your physical device.
- On-Device AI Engine: Natural language date and time parsing executes locally via optimized rule-based models and on-device inference bridges. Your typed or spoken prompts are NEVER sent to third-party AI APIs (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or external cloud LLMs).
- Zero Account Registration: You do not need to provide an email, phone number, login credential, or identity proof to use the application.
02 Device Permissions & Technical Necessity
To ensure alarms trigger with deterministic reliability and survive OEM background battery optimizations, the app requests specific standard Android permissions:
Required by Android 12+ (API 31+) to trigger reminders at the exact minute requested without doze-mode drift.
Enables the local ReminderBootReceiver to automatically restore all pending alarms when your phone restarts.
Used strictly when you tap the microphone button in the Assistant tab to dictate a reminder. Voice input is processed entirely on your device via Android's local speech recognizer. Raw audio is never saved to storage and is never uploaded.
Displays timely alerts, interactive "Mark Done" / "Snooze" action buttons, and haptic feedback.
03 Third-Party Services & Zero Advertising
Offline Reminder contains NO advertising SDKs (such as Google AdMob, Unity Ads, or Meta Audience Network) and NO tracking telemetry frameworks (such as Firebase Analytics, Adjust, or AppsFlyer). The application operates entirely isolated from commercial ad networks.
04 Data Sovereignty & Offline JSON Export
You have complete ownership over your schedule data. Offline Reminder includes a built-in offline backup mechanism that allows you to export your reminders, categories, and routine history as a human-readable JSON file. This file is shared exclusively via Android's secure FileProvider to your chosen local storage directory or personal drive.
05 Children's Privacy Protection
Offline Reminder does not knowingly target, collect, or store information from children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in applicable EU jurisdictions). Because the application collects zero data from all users regardless of age, no child data is ever processed or shared.
